Stop the Carbon Tax Rally at Kirribilli House – Friday, 7 October 2011

It’s One Minute to Midnight ……. Stop the Carbon Tax

Next Wednesday, 12 October 2011, the Gillard/Brown Government will introduce the carbon (dioxide) tax bill into Parliament.  Members of Parliament will be askedto vote on 18 pieces of legislation, made up of 1129 pages and containing 255,539 words.  Australians are not confident that MPs will read this mountain of legislation, let alone digest the contents.   It is the most important change to Australia’s laws in decades – a change that the majority of Australians oppose.  This opposition is reflected through the diabolical and unprecedented low levels of support for Labor in the Australia-wide polls – consistently less than 30%.

This is the last Sydney rally before the Government forces the carbon tax onto Australians.  Bring your signs, voices, Australian flags, megaphones and exercise your right to oppose this useless and insidious carbon dioxide tax – a tax that is going to damage the Australian economy and do nothing to change the climate.
