Greg Combet: Opponents of Carbon trading are racists`

Greg Combet, the violent union thug of 1996, descends to calling xenophobic and racist those who dare oppose Labor’s  mad carbon scheme.

In his address to the National Press Club today, he claimed that apparently it is racist to question sending by 2050,  $57billion of your dollars to developing countries to purchase previously demonstrated corrupt carbon offsets. That is $57 billion for bits of paper promising that they reduced their carbon-equivalent emissions by that much.

So lets recap:

This Labor Government wants you to believe that those who criticise their totally ineffective Carbon Tax, are all wrong because they are variously:

Deniers
Flat-earthers
Anti-science
Scientific illiterates, 1, 2
Economically illiterates
Pro-pollution
Shills of big oil
Self-interested
Extremists
Right wing nuts
Right wing shock jocks
Conspiracists
Inconsequential
most absurd
inane
puerile
self-serving tripe
And now also:
Xenophobics
Racists
Got that?
——————————————————————————————————————–

Mr Combet listed in his speech many reasons why Labor’s carbon tax is a great idea except the one reason it is being forced upon us – saving us from climate change.

Incredibly, in his entire speech, he did not mention once how much it will lower global temperatures, nor did he even speculate on any plausible way in which it might arrest global warming or lower temperatures with or without cooperation from the whole world.

A tax to save the world without any mention of how it might achieve that. This makes the Nigerian scam look legitimate in comparison.

Greg Combet needs to find a real job to earn his leaving’he can not use the carbon tax excuse and exploit the many
thousands naive australian, to sicure his future. This applies to all those ingaged in the same aim. They have formed a group call themselves the clean air producer it is dispicable to abuse the hard earned money of the tax
australian tax payers and keep those parassite occupied with the carbon tax excuse they themselves don’t believe
in the climate chance, but they impose themselves on us tax payers and we have to combine their salaries and keep them there. All us australian would like to see the money spend for hospitals and medical reserch aducation and many more usful things. cheers

  • Interesting idea. So who is exactly racist? To suggest that some anti carbon tax people are racists well of course if you take about two thirds of any population you will find some racists. Or are we all ALP racists? I can go with that one because the current performance of the ALP has led me to this and sorry to the older labor politicians like Keating Hawke and even Whitlam at least they reduced tarrifs along with other economic reforms and started Medicare. So for those who have the time and would like my opinion on the current situation please read my submission to the Clean Energy Legislation (carbon tax) it can be found on http://www.annoyedaussie.com

  • What can you expect from a Minister responsible for climate change. He may as well be Minister for Winning Lotto numbers. His analogy comparing racism to anti carbon trading really really is drawing a long bow.

  • Ask why is it so?

I have searched the web, skeptic sites, believer sites, science sites and I can’t find anywhere where it says “the science is in” The Government is going to impose a tax on us based on an unproven theory. I think calling people who seek proof unpleasant names, only goes to increase my doubts about “the science is in”. If I choose to think CO2 is an innocent victim in this that’s my right and no matter how many new offensive names they come up with it will not change my opinion. Show me the science!
