Lord Christopher Monckton is a mathematically gifted and scientifically well informed climate sceptic and an excellent, entertaining and proliferous speaker, despite a somewhat eccentric manner. (His funny eyes, a source of frequent derision is actually a medical condition, exophthalmos from previously overactive thyroid).
Christopher Monckton is under fire for recently describing Prof Ross Garnaut as having “a fascist point of view”, as someone who expected people to “accept authority without question”: “Heil Hitler, on we go,” said Lord Monckton in discussing Prof Garnaut, as a quote was displayed beside a swastika. Lord Monckton apparently also said other climate change scientists were “eco-fascists”. Here.
While reference to fascism and swastikas are provocative rhetoric and possibly an own goal, his message is essentially valid. Consider this is in the context where even German mainstream media has recently raised concerns about ‘Sliding Head Over Heels Into Eco-Dictatorship”, and arguably the benefits of this publicity for his upcoming speaking tour of USA.
What I find far more offensive is Prof Garnaut and Ms Gillard’s deceipt in falsely justifying the carbon tax, their vilification of dissenters as denialists (which is typically associated with Holocaust deniers), and their usual hupocritical confected outrage over a label, in an attemt to silence dissenting voices.

I think the eco-fascist remark is valid, though the nazi jibe took things too far. Unfortunately, the mainstream media has picked up on this and used it as a weapon, much like these so-called death threats. I’d suggest that anyone that is drinking Monckton’s Kool Aide take a look.
When I discuss the impact of industrilization with elderly people of the land whom are in touch with mild gradual changes constantly I find myself struggling to find people with opinions that do not support the gradualy changing seasonal behaviour, harsh weather on a international scale has become greatly more frequent and eratic in my life time as has deforestation and desolation and the list goes on, though on the other end of the scale has been massive global industrilisation developing in that same time frame.
Log onto google earth and spend 5 hrs googling earth from China to the Amazon to the Missisipi River mouth Great Barrier Reef in Australia Baghdad to Moscow, and take a night time flight from Melbourne via Kuala Lumpur to Dubai to London to New York to Bueness aires back to Melbourne keeping your eyes open looking out of the aircraft window and watch the global lights burning all night when power consumption is in a lull.
If faith is the evidence of what we cannot see, what is the evidence before us?
